  3. Make sure the computer is connected to the projector.
  4. Turn on the computer.
  5. Turn on the Smart Board.
  6. Turn on the projector.
  7. Log in to the network.
  8. Open up Internet Explorer.
  9. Go to Bookmarks and click on the bookmark you made for the interactive 100's chart:  http://nlvm.usu.edu/en/nav/frames_asid_337_g_1_t_1.html?open=teacher&from=category_g_1_t_1.html
  10. At the top of the chart you have to select what you want the students to skip count by.  So if you want them to skip count by 2's starting at 2 you would select "Count by 2", "Starting at 2".  If you wanted them to skip count by 5's you would select "Count by 5" "Starting at 5", and if you wanted them to count by 10s you would selected "Count by 10" "Starting at 10".
  11. This 100's Chart has 3 functions: Practice, Show and Animate.  The practice function would allow students to interact with the board.  The student could come up practice counting by 2's for example by touching the numbers.  If they touched, 2, 4, 7, the 7 would be highlighted in red, to show they made an error.  The show function simply highlights all the numbers that are multiples of that number at the same time.  The animate function highlights the numbers, but one at a time.  Take some time to acquaint yourself with these features before using it with the class.
